1. Paul says they’re going to write and perform 14 songs in 2-weeks. Exactly who does that?

2. George is defensive and wounded, and rattled. He’s brittle. He feels 2nd rate, builds his own studio (then lends out his 8-track, good guy) He’s suffocating. His creative process is private. John and Paul just muck about until they find it.

3. I suppose if this was 2021 Yoko would be sitting there on her cell phone. She didn’t break up The Beatles. Brian Epstein ODing broke up The Beatles. The band was like a giant super-freighter without a rudder. Huge momentum heading inexorably to a rocky shore.

4. People talk about Yoko, but George brought a Hari-Krishna guy in to be a wallflower on sessions. By the end of the doc there’s all sorts of people in the studio.

5. The Beatles have no respect for microphones.

6. John loves Paul and Paul loves John. BFFs.

7. The key conversation in terms of understanding the band takes place in the cafeteria. John tells Paul he’s being tough with George. Paul says John has always been the boss of the band but he’s not doing that now. That’s the whole issue right there. They’ve changed. John doesn’t want to be boss of the band anymore and Paul sucks at it.
