The sorrow is deep. A woman rose from the streets of Brooklyn. She answered the call to service. She worked. She sacrificed her family life. She always came ready for the fight.
Abortion is the fault line between two cultures. Ruth Bader Ginsburg wastes no time trying to bridge the fault line. She simply said it’s of no relevance.
Each citizen has the right to follow their own conscience. No citizen has the right to impose their private choice on the other.
Simple. American. And unacceptable to one-side of the line. The pro-lifers.
No one is for abortion. That’s a myth. Ruth Bader Ginsberg was not pro-abortion. She was pro-choice.
Choice is as American as apple pie. I use the cliche knowingly and unapologetically, because it’s the straight-forward truth. Choice is exactly why the Pilgrims got on their ship. Choice is why we formed a line in Lexington. Choice is why we set on each other’s throats in Gettysburg.
Choice is in the blood of Americans. It’s stitched into our core DNA. If you’re American you believe in choice and no government has the right to take it away.
