We’ve been asking for this week. Armed men in a shoot out on our streets. It’s been coming for quite awhile. In fact, the idea has been promoted by the President. The NRA spent billions on the idea. Even as I write this, the airwaves are filled with right-wing extremists lauding the action of a 17-year old. They’re turning him into a hero.

But it’s a huge mistake. The mistake is plain to see, but right now the right-wing is lost in a Rambo fever dream. What is the mistake?

There’s 400 million guns in this country. We’re armed. We’re dangerous. And we’re hungry for glory. Playing street fighter is a lot more fun than working and paying taxes.

What gets me is exactly what do right-wing people imagine is on the other side of this prayed for conflict? We’re all going to get back to football and beer? NASCAR on Sunday? Do they…
