The land of the brave is the land of fear after four years of Trump.
We The People are chattel to Trump’s wealth.
Trump’s America is violent. It’s deceit. It’s corrupt.
Rule of Law is roadkill on a highway to a private club in Palm Beach.
Science is a whipping boy to an army of chemistry class dropouts.
Debate is a raised voice and a faceful of spittle.
Farmland is a fallow trade deal, a bumper crop of broken promises.
Trump’s America is a knee on our neck and seven bullets in our back. A murdering teenager playing Rambo on a small-town street.
Our children locked out of school. Our grandparents sacrificed to greed. Our neighbors behind locked doors.
This is Trump’s America. Devotion to an artificial fairway. Obedience to a hard shank from an obese duffer. Golf cart fitness. 19th hole bravado from a 50 yard gimme.
Trump’s America. An economy on a Treasury Department ventilator. A slaughterhouse for small businesses. A legion of unemployed choking on a vicious virus.
The American Dream is a nightmare. American Exceptionalism is everybody in crippling debt except the wealthy. America The Beautiful is a teenage pagent in front of rows of drooling old men attended by Botox Barbies.
This is Trump’s America. It’s ours. Own it. We built it. We live in it. And only we can change it.
Take a long hard look at Trump’s America. And then vote.
