I almost gave up on Medium

In large part, my Medium feed is people trying to ‘monetize’ their life with a ‘personal brand.’

It’s kind of boring, to be honest. ‘How I Became a Content Writer,’ ‘ What Being Me for 100 Days Was Like,’ ‘12 Secrets to Making Money Online.’

On and on and on and on.

Then I came across a post written by someone caught in Gaza. A riveting story. Heartbreaking. I learned something. Real writing. The guy was not trying to monetize, he was trying to survive.

Wow.

I’m sticking around on Medium. Maybe I can work on feed. There’s writing on this platform. Somewhere.
