“Since we are greatly outnumbered, we need to change the rules of the game.”

Charles Koch

The #1 Rule of the Game is Stealth.

Right from the beginning of his assualt on American Democracy, Charles Koch clearly saw a winning strategy.

  • Work out of sight behind the backs of the majority.
  • Use technology and data to create clear paths to minority control.
  • Use money to control key politicians.

Koch is a brilliant engineer with MIT credentials. His tactics succeeded beyond what even he imagined.

Who could imagine a windfall like Trump?

Trump provides a scattershot of chaos. Makes it easier to operate out of sight.

The #2 Rule of the Game is Attack the Constitution.

Politicians are bound to the public by Constitutional duty. This a huge obstacle in the way of predator capitalists.

If the People are served first, there’s less for the predatory capitalists.

  • Predators get fed first.
  • Law of the jungle.
  • Not, however, the law of the Constitution.

How can a government for the People by the People co-exist with a capitalist economic system designed to serve an elite?

It can’t.

Constitutional government is a problem.

The #3 Rule is Carry A Big Dog Whistle and Blow.

Having a mission and strategy designed by generals was one thing, but outnumbered on all sides meant what Koch and co. needed more than anything were dog soldiers.

  • White supremists.
  • Evangelicals.
  • Pro-lifers.
  • Gun owners.
  • Low income workers.

The Fabled Base of the GOP.

One thing about The Base, they love signing up for a cause.

  • They take things on faith
  • They are loyal to a banner.
  • They don’t question.

It’s enough to belong to something, a tribe, anything, as long as the operating principle is ‘We are better than them.

Otherism. Us vs. Them. The most manipulative emotion is in the history of mankind. It’s amazing how it works again and again.

No one has provided more dog whistles than the Trump. A man of unprincipled hucksterism: White. Rich. Heartless.

He’s like mana from Heaven for Koch & his Republican hoard.

What chance does democracy have?
