Big surprise. America lacks moral fiber.

Trump is not an aberration.

Let’s put away the American Dream. Our greatest president, Lincoln, waged germ warfare on Native-Americans. Another beloved president, Teddy Roosevelt, was pro-eugenics. Truman incinerated an entire city in seconds. We waged war on peasants in Southeast Asia. Our Founders were slave owners.

Somebody said to me the Electoral College is broken. Is it? It seems to me it works perfectly for the people who designed it— rich, white men.

I don’t hate America. I love her. Like you love a soused old uncle. The guy drives you crazy, but he’s family.

The 2020 election, people expressing shock that the old uncle with the bloody eyes and unfiltered tongue receives 68 million votes. What’s so shocking about it?

America, a nation built with an overseers ledger, an abacus of whip-hand transactions. Do I hear fifty dollars?

What do we have? Predatory capitalism. Where did it come from? The fetid soil of the old South.

Donald Trump is American mainstream. No aberration. Hocking snake oil from the back of a wagon. Hugging your shoulder and picking your pocket. A huckster barking from a two-bedroom condo. You deal with the guy you expect to get ripped off. A guy like that is a genuine American hero.

He’s Charlie Ponzu with a coupon for you to clip out of the Sunday rag. He’s Bernie Madoff with his fang’s into an 80-year old socialite. Mark Twain spent a chapter on the guy’s combover.

Trump is the American Dream. Get rich quick, live in debt, hide your cash, piss on the government. It’s a joke. Get it?
